247 clymer manual tip

When using the Clymer manual to split cases for a 247 (left side shift) rebuild, Mark Thurman discovered a problem.  After he had tried putting the cases back together, there was a hinge in the middle, and the motor wouldn't go back together.  After checking and re-checking several times, he discovered the problem.  The manual covers the right side shift model!!  When the dowel pins  on the transmission output shaft were reversed, it went together perfectly!!
